BA International Trade

BA International Trade is a study programme during which you will learn how to analyse and design business strategies at a global level.

The aim of the BA International Trade study programme is:

  1. to provide students with the business skills, knowledge, and understanding necessary to achieve high performance in a global business environment,
  2. provide an overview and understanding of international trade operations, opportunities and challenges posed by a globalized market,
  3. provide students with knowledge of culturally diverse organizations, intercultural issues, diversity and values,
  4. provide students with opportunities for career advancement or business development,
  5. provide opportunities for those applying for jobs in companies that trade internationally,
  6. allow flexibility of study and meet the time needs of the student.

Form of study:

If the student does not come from the Slovak Republic or does not have the opportunity to come to the study centre, the study is also possible only online.

The distance form of study involves personal participation in the educational process directly at the academy. The number of days depends on the subject of the study programme (please ask for more information directly at the academy).

Blended learning is a combination of online study with taking exams and defending project work directly at the academy. Blended learning offers flexible learning opportunities that allow you to combine study with your work or business. During the study, the student is in direct contact with the lector via e-mail or the SEP Online Platform. The online form of study has the character of modern education without regular weekend lectures.

Distance form 60/40      /         Blended 80/20

The total time leading to qualifications includes:

  1. getting ready for the lesson,
  2. independent research/education without supervision,
  3. working on assignments,
  4. unattended e-learning,
  5. watching pre-recorded podcasts or webinars,
  6. any other form of learning, education or training that is not under the direct supervision of the tutor/teacher, lecturer, supervisor, trainer,
  7. consultations,
  8. exams,
  9. presentations,
  10. defences.

13 weeks practice in partner companies or SMEs – market analysis/research/questioning

Preparation of semestral works in the form of “Open Book Exam”

Self-study

Research and preparation of bachelor thesis to the extent of 40 pages.
