BSc Extended Diploma in Management

BSc Extended Diploma in Management is a three-year study programme with Level 6 EQF, 180 ECTS credit qualification, To achieve this, all students must complete core units and electives with a total value of at least 60 credits per year. In the second and third years, students have the opportunity to continue on an unspecified route or choose one of four routes; Finance, Operations Management, Managing people or Sales and Marketing.

By completing the study, the graduate will gain:

  • knowledge of strategic leadership and management in organizations,
  • knowledge of how to improve an organization’s performance through the application of appropriate leadership and management skills,
  • knowledge of how to use teams to improve organisational performance,
  • knowledge of how to identify and meet the needs of stakeholders in quality, management and service delivery,
  • knowledge of how to manage quality and service delivery,
  • knowledge of how personal leadership and management skills support the achievement of organisational goals,
  • ability to manage the development of their personal leadership and management skills to support the achievement of personal and organisational goals.

Upon successful completion of the programme, students will receive a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree EQF LEVEL 6.

Form of study:

If the student does not come from the Slovak Republic or does not have the opportunity to come to the study centre, the study is also possible only online.

Method of evaluation and completion of each unit (Blended form):

  • Quizzes
  • Live webinar or Podcast tutorial with a teacher in real-time
  • E-learning without teacher supervision in real-time
  • Independent learning without supervision
  • Final evaluation: Exam

All forms of assessment that are carried out without the supervision of a trainer, trainer, tutor or other appropriate education or training provider, including cases where assessment is based on competencies, maybe turn into an opportunity for learning.

  • Learner feedback with a teacher in real-time
  • Supervised independent learning
  • Classroom-based learning supervised by a teacher
  • Work-based learning supervised by a teacher

  • E-learning supervised by a teacher in real-time
  • Final evaluation: Exam

 All forms of assessment that take place under the immediate guidance or supervision of a lecturer, supervisor, tutor or another appropriate provider of education or training, including where the assessment is competence-based and may be turned into a learning opportunity.

The first year of study in Management is a 60-credit qualification. To achieve this qualification all learners must complete two of the three core units totalling 30 credits, and two further units from the list of optional or one from the remaining core units, and one from the optional units.

A diploma in Management is a 120-credit qualification. To achieve this qualification all learners must complete the core units and four further units from the list of optional units. Learners then select the core qualification or one of four pathways; Finance, Managing People, Operations Management or Sales and Marketing.
