Doctorate Ph.D., DBA

The students are able to join the New York Academy of Sciences network (with certificate) in case they do not work in the academic area, but as Post-doctoral specialists in research.

Study part of the Ph.D. study consists mainly of self-studying, consultations and individual study of literature with the intention to gain theoretical and methodological assumptions for processing of dissertation work. The study is conducted under the supervisor of lecturer and is completed by submitting a dissertation work. The scientific part of the Ph.D. study consists of individual scientific and research work of the Ph.D. candidate, that is tied with the topic of the dissertation work.

Our Bilateral contract with cooperation partner MIIBS enables us to carry out the Ph.D. and DBA studies.

DBA program represents the highest degree of managerial education and is intended primarily for experienced managers at the top level of management with several years of managerial practice. DBA is a professional equivalent of academic Ph.D. degree (doctor of philosophy) but is proposed especially for attendants, who want to bring modern findings into companies based on their own research. Attendants are provided with the possibility to strengthen their professional ability at an advanced level through study – valuable modules.

DBA will help you to get to know the principles of scientific research and their applicability in practice. DBA will provide an appreciation of academic knowledge from the previous study. This kind of education is focused on the development of individual capabilities of attendants and through them raising abilities, practice and research and thus they support the rise of their own workplace or company.

Doctorate study and related projects are tailor-made and reflect the individual needs and interests of an organization.

Recommended form of study:

All of our study programs offer flexible learning opportunities that make it possible to combine study with work and business. At present, our educational institution offers an online form in addition to consulting and external forms of study. During the online study, the student is in direct contact with the teacher via e-mail. The online form of study has the character of modern education without regular weekend lectures. The number of face-to-face meetings (consultations) varies and adapts to the needs of each subject. The requirements for online study are the same as for full-time or part-time study. Students who choose to study online will submit written tests electronically.

Languages

The language of the Doctoral Studies Ph.D. and DBA thesis can be Slovak, English, German, French or Hungarian is irrespective of the language of the candidate’s publications.
