LL.M Criminal Law

LL.M Criminal Law Study Program offers students a broad overview of both criminal and procedural criminal law in the context of criminality as a social behavior choice, Prevention of recidivism in criminal law as well as Psychology in Education, Criminology and Investigative Psychology. Each student can choose modules focusing also on Tax evasion and tax crime or Corruption in the current society. Students can gain knowledge of transnational and international crime.

This study program can be combined with specializations e.g. in the fields of Intellectual Property Law, International Law and the like.

The study is designed for lawyers, notaries, trainees, lawyers, law students, lawyers and employees who are working with the law on a daily basis.

LL.M Criminal Law - Mondo International Academy
LL.M is an abbreviation from Latin term Legum Magister, which means “master of law”. It is internationally recognized post-graduate law education.

Study process:

In each study programme there are 3 core (compulsory) modules. The student chooses 6 mandatory modules, with the option to specialize in his study focus by replacing three of them with 3 mandatory modules from another study programme.

The study is not based on the semester system.

The study ends with working out the final thesis, with a positive rating from the supervisor and the opponent.

Entry requirements:  

  • Completion of either a Bachelor´s degree from a university or high school studies (+ at least 3-5 years of working experience) or equivalent to the level of an academic bachelor’s degree.
  • Students must complete a Bachelor´s degree in Legal Studies before applying to LL.M study programmes.

In addition to the general entry requirements, you must meet the specific entry requirements as detailed by each programme. For example, many Master’s degree programmes require that your Bachelor’s degree has a particular major, or you may need to have completed certain subject credits within your Bachelor’s degree.

The length of the study is 9 – 18 months.
