LL.M Family Law 

LL.M Family Law study program offers students the opportunity to acquire knowledge in areas from which many resonate in society and appear to be conflicting. In this study program, the student will get a rare view of various aspects of maintenance obligations, child deprivation syndrome, conflict resolution, alternative care of children, and parental rights and duties. All these aspects are always demonstrated in practical cases, which enriches the study.

The study is designed for lawyers, notaries, trainees, lawyers, law students, lawyers, and working with him on a daily basis to study the principles underpinning modern family law.

The aim of the program is to make family law perceived in a wider social context.

Advantages:

  • the possibility of a parallel study together with another study program,
  • specialization in a certain field of law,
  • the possibility of shortening the study,
  • choice of the form of study.

Entry requirements:  

  • Completion of either a Bachelor´s degree or equivalent to the level of an academic bachelor’s degree.

LL.M is an abbreviation from Latin term Legum Magister, which means “master of law”. It is internationally recognized post-graduate law education.

Form of the study:

All study programs offer flexible learning options that allow you to combine study with work or business. Currently we offer online consultancy and external form of study. During the study, the student is in direct contact with the teacher by e-mail. Online form of study has the character of modern education without regular weekend lectures. The number of face-to-face meetings (consultations) varies and adapts to the needs of each subject. The requirements for online study are the same as for full-time or part-time study. Students who choose to study online will submit written tests electronically.

Module selection and specialization

Each study program contains information about the compulsory modules and options within which you can create your own specialization in a field that fits your own interests and longer-term career goals.

The student has the opportunity to create his / her own specialization in the field that meets his / her own interests and longer-term career goals. She creates her specialisation by replacing 3 modules from another study program eg. of MBA.

  8. Parental Alienation Syndrome

Second Year: 

  1. Mediator and conflict resolution
  2. The Institute of Marriage in Modern Society and Morality
  3. Parental rights and obligations
  4. Relationships between parents and children
  5. Children and alternate care
  6. Termination of marriage by divorce and its legal consequences
  7. Termination of marriage with an international element
  8. Research Methods

Study obligations of the Program Participant

Preparation of 8 semestral works (4 each year) in the form of “Open Book Exam”

Self-study

Research and preparation of bachelor thesis in the extent of 60 pages.
