MBA State Administration and Local Government program are suitable for students looking for a career in government, self-government. The program prepares the student for the role of a manager in the state administration or self-government. Develops the skills and techniques used by managers to implement policies, projects, and programs that address important issues of state administration and self-government.

After completing thorough training in the basic pillars of study consisting of modules: Cyber Security, Public and Economic Policy, Decentralization. This study program will enable you to develop in many ways. For example in Public Economics and Public Sector Economics, Europrojects Management, Rural Financing Options development from the EU funds, the election organization of the Slovak Republic, in the areas related to the state budget and budget principles and rules in the preparation of the public budget, social policy, territorial local government or public finances and others.

In addition, this study program can be combined with others to create its own specialization, for example in the field of public policy and international relations.

Recommended form of study:

All of our study programs offer flexible learning opportunities that make it possible to combine study with work and business. At present, our educational institution offers an online form in addition to consulting and external forms of study. During the online study, the student is in direct contact with the teacher via e-mail. The online form of study has the character of modern education without regular weekend lectures. The number of face-to-face meetings (consultations) varies and adapts to the needs of each subject. The requirements for online study are the same as for full-time or part-time study. Students who choose to study online will submit written tests electronically.

Entry requirements:  

Completion of either a Bachelor´s degree or equivalent to the level of an academic bachelor’s degree.

In addition to the general entry requirements, you must meet the specific entry requirements as detailed by each program. For example, many Master’s degree programs require that your Bachelor’s degree has a particular major, or you may need to have completed certain subject credits within your Bachelor’s degree.

Study process:

In each year of the study program, there are 8 core (compulsory) modules. The student has the option to specialize in his study by replacing three of them with 3 modules from another study program.

The study is not based on the semester system.

The Study length: 2 years

The study ends with working out the final thesis, with a positive rating from the supervisor and the opponent.
